Leland Blues FAQ Page:

We don’t have many FAQ’s yet as we just got started. This page will populate after a while. Below the FAQ’s are some of the comments we have received from our fans.

Q: Is the Band touring anywhere?

A: No, we have complicated lives and have only played one public gig. We do get together with many other musicians every week at the Old Art Building in Leland Michigan. This happens on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:30 every week of the year and has been going on for over 8 years. We would consider playing one off house parties.

Q: How do you write songs?

A: Most of the lyrics concern things that interest me. Some just come to me from spirit, usually in that liminal space between sleeping and wakefulness. The melodies usually just flow out of my fingers while I practice.

Q: Why don’t you stream music?

A: Most streaming platforms are biased towards big stars. To be honest, I don’t need to chase that dream. Creating the album and sharing it with friends was always the goal, but I do need to pay for the cost to produce it. Selling LP’s and CD’s can do that.

Fan Comments:

Really remarkable! I love the title. Doubly clever! What a cool idea to have a “Leland Suite”. I love the intro to “Trying to be Cool”  I can just see the hallways at Walnut Hills. Elegy for Lambchop beautiful and the Spiral too.
